Goal of this Project
For most people being a perfectionist is a good thing, however for me it is one of my weaknesses. I try too hard to want to be perfect and to please people. In order to improve this, I needed a way to measure this. So, to do this I counted the number of times that I checked skyward, the website we use for an online grade book, and said "I'm sorry". One of the ways that I needed to learn from this is that it is unnecessary for me to check my grades more than once a day and even then checking them that many times is unnecessary. Also, for many people saying sorry is a polite thing to do, which it is and I am not disagreeing, however for me I would say I am sorry for things that did not require an apology. I had over used the word, to the point where it had not its sincerity.
While I was doing this project I improved with the over all amount of times checking my grades or saying I'm sorry. It started out at an unreasonable number but by the end of the week I was saying I'm sorry about eight times, which decreased from the 15 I started out with. I also improved in checking my grades. On the first day I checked them eight times a day which I then improved to one or two times a day.
